Permission with a reason.
The baseline permissions power audit visibility and notifications. Nothing here lets Sentinel act against members.
Optional responses
Escalate deliberately.
Only grant these for the responses you plan to configure. Discord’s role hierarchy still applies, so Sentinel can never act on someone above it.

Strips roles from the actor, reverts dangerous grants, and powers lockdown.
- Timeout User
Moderate Members
Times the actor out for the duration you set, or whoever posts a scam link.

Removes the actor, or a bot added without permission.

Before you start
A small setup, a clear owner.

You need Manage Server or Administrator permission to add Sentinel.

Discord pre-selects every permission Sentinel can use. Untick any you will not need.

Keep Sentinel's role above any roles it may need to remove.

After inviting, run
/setupand point/settingsat a log channel. - 05
Create limits with
/limits addfor the events you care about. - 06
Exempt trusted bots and staff with
/whitelist add.
