Install Sentinel in one minute. Start with visibility, then add the responses your server actually needs.

Choose a server where you have Manage Server permission.

Review the requested bot permissions in Discord.

Run /setup, then create your first limit.

WHAT SENTINEL NEEDS

Permission with a reason.

Sentinel does not need every Discord permission by default. The baseline permissions power audit visibility and notifications. Elevated permissions only matter when you turn on automatic responses.

View Audit Log

Read moderation events so Sentinel can detect destructive activity.

View Channels

See the channels it is configured to protect and notify.

Send Messages

Post clear audit notifications when a configured rule fires.

Embed Links

Format audit events into readable Discord embeds.

Read Message History

Keep notification context useful in configured channels.

OPTIONAL RESPONSES

Escalate deliberately.

Choose these only for the actions you want Sentinel to perform when a threshold is reached. Discord role hierarchy still applies.

Manage Roles

Required only for Remove All Roles responses.

Kick Members

Required only if you configure Kick User responses.

Ban Members

Required only if you configure Ban User responses.

WHAT YOU NEED

A small setup, a clear owner.

01 You must have Manage Server or Administrator permission to add Sentinel.

02 Keep Sentinel's role above any roles it may remove.

03 After inviting, run /setup and configure /settings.

04 Create limits with /limits add for the events you care about.
